Test Target Connection lets you test whether the connection to a search target to working properly. Testing a connection to a search target allows you to perform a search against the specified target and then see a sample of the returned results. (For details, see Testing the connection to a federated search target .)

Target Name

Specifies the name of the search target whose connection you are currently testing.

Lets you perform a search to test the connection to a specific search target. Testing a connection to a search target allows you to perform a search against the specified target and then see a sample of the returned results. Enter a search term in the field, then click Run Search or press ENTER.

Preview

Displays the results of the connection test. If the connection to the search target is successful, SirsiDynix Enterprise displays a preview of the returned search results. If the connection is unsuccessful, SirsiDynix Enterprise displays an error message indicating that the connection to the search target failed. Once you have tested the connection, click Back to return to Manage Federated Search Targets.
