About the Discovery Agent

In order to display library data in Searching and the Admin console, SirsiDynix Enterprise uses a background process called the Discovery Agent to extract library data from an ILS and then index the data for searching purposes. This process resides on the ILS server. You can define when and how often this extraction/index process takes place by configuring the Discovery Agent.
