SIP provides a way for you to connect SirsiDynix Enterprise to an a Symphony or Horizon ILS to validate patron logins. If you have the capability to connect through an NCIP server, you can choose that option as well.
To set up a connection to a SIP server
| 1 | Log in to the Admin console. |
| 2 | Choose Manage Security from the navigation pane. |
| 3 | Choose Manage Authentication Servers from the Manage Security menu. |
| 4 | Choose Add SIP Server. |
| 5 | Complete the fields, as necessary. (For more information, see Fields: Add/Edit SIP Authentication Server.) |
| 6 | When you have finished, choose OK. |
