Setting up a connection to an LDAP server

You can use an LDAP server to provide login authentication for secured profiles. LDAP can also provide single-sign on with Symphony, so patrons who have authenticated for a profile can make a hold or request without needing to sign in again to the eLibrary OPAC.

To set up a connection to an LDAP server

Choose Manage Security from the navigation pane.

Choose Manage Authentication Servers from the Manage Security menu.

Choose Add LDAP Server.

Complete the fields, as necessary. (For more information, see Fields: Add/Edit LDAP Authentication Server.)

When you have finished, choose OK.
