If you are using Symphony or Horizon to manage patron authentication, you can use Web Services connect to the patron store. Patrons will be presented with the same login as with the other means of providing authentication.
To set up a connection to an LDAP server
| 1 | Log in to the Admin console. |
| 2 | Choose Manage Security from the navigation pane. |
| 3 | Choose Manage Authentication Servers from the Manage Security menu. |
| 4 | Do one of the following: |
| • | Choose Add Symphony Web Services Server. |
| • | Choose Add Horizon Web Services Server. |
| 5 | Complete the fields, as necessary. (For more information, see Fields: Add/Edit Symphony Web Services Authentication Server or Fields: Add/Edit Horizon Web Services Authentication Server.) |
Note: If you haven't set up a Symphony or Horizon Web Services instance, you must set it up in Manage Web Services. For more information, see Managing Web Services.
| 6 | When you have finished, choose OK. |
