My Account lets patrons view personal settings, checkouts, holds, and fees. The options that they see depends on the policies that have been enabled in Symphony and the options that you enable in the SirsiDynix Portfolio Admin console. This section explains how to enable and disable options from within SirsiDynix Portfolio .
Symphony policies may override an option in SirsiDynix Portfolio . For example, if the Symphony policy does not allow patrons to suspend holds, and you enable suspend holds in the Admin console, patrons will not have the option to suspend holds in SirsiDynix Portfolio .
Most of the general configuration for My Accounts can be done in the My Accounts Settings configuration of each profile. Further configuration (such as payment or pickup library) will require further setup and configuration.
You can change the currency symbol in the Fines tab to the local currency symbol. To change the symbol, go to Manage Language Files in the Admin console and search for the "$" symbol in each language that you use and replace it with the correct currency symbol for your area (for more information, see Editing language strings in a file).
