Attaching a detached room to the room tree

You can reattach a room to the room tree. SirsiDynix Portfolio restores the room settings for each profile in which the room was available. If an administrator has created a new profile between the time that the room was detached and when it was reattached, SirsiDynix Portfolio assigns to that room the properties that are assigned for the new profile’s Home Room.

To attach a detached room to the room tree

Choose Manage Rooms from the navigation pane.

Select the profile in which you want to work.

Note: Reattaching a room is independent of profile. The room branch will be attached to the same parent room for all profiles, whether that parent room is available to the profile or not.

Choose Manage Detached Rooms.

Choose Attach Room next to the room you want to attach.

Navigate the room tree to locate the room you want to be the parent room of the detached room. (For more information, see Fields: Attach Room.)

Choose the radio button next to the room to indicate that the detached room will become a child of that room.

Choose OK.
