Fields: Configure MARC Settings

Path: Manage Search Configuration > Manage Discovery Search Sources > Manage Discovery Source Sites > Configure MARC settings

Configure MARC Settings lets you assign a MARC Map to a specific search field for this Discovery source site. When you set up any search field, you can specify a default MARC Map that SirsiDynix Portfolio uses to know what data is associated with the search field. You can override the default MARC Map associated with a particular search field by assigning a different MARC Map to the search field specifically for this Discovery source site.

If you add or edit the settings for a Discovery source site, you must refresh the Discovery search cache afterwards. Your changes are not reflected in Searching or the Admin console until you refresh the search cache. (For more information about refreshing the Discovery search cache, see Refreshing the search cache.)
